Did you know that Charlie Chaplin was a Royal-Riviera’s neighbor, or that the villa “Les Cedres” (King of Belgium former property) was transformed into a hospital during the First World War ?
To discover all the secrets of history and heritage of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat’s History and Heritage, the Tourism Office organizes guided tours, on both sides of the peninsula :
Explore the village and the “Pointe Saint Hospice”
From the Clemenceau place, you will take the path “chemin des Douaniers” between the Mediterranean and the pine forest towards the St Hospice Chapel. On your way back, you will enjoy the beaches borderng the wild coast.
Discover the promenade Maurice Rouvier
The second tour starts from the city hall of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat (Mairie in French) and goes to the opposite direction towards the Beaulieu-sur-mer bay, where the Hotel Royal-Riviera hotel is standing. This walk is an opportunity to discover the billionaires’ beautiful villas and their history, by walking on the oldest road of St Jean Cap Ferrat.
